About Tracy Ray

Tracy Ray sings an eclectic mix of blues, jazz and soul. She draws inspiration from the legendary sounds of Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker. Rhythm & Blues artists such as Ray Charles, Ruth Brown and Etta James are also deep sources of influence as well as popular artists such as James Taylor, Carole King and Stevie Wonder. Her live performances capture the soulful depth and spirit of the blues, artfully blending groove with melody whether playing as a duo, trio, or on a larger scale as a quartet, and beyond.

Tracy sings regularly on the London scene and in addition to live performances she has provided backing vocals for Ian Brown of the Stone Roses on his track One Way Ticket to Paradise. In 2024 she teamed up with music producer Sunship to release UK garage renditions of You’re My Thrill and The Girl from Ipanema both of which achieved top10 status in the UK dance charts.
